Recovery rate 96.7%, mortality rate 0.87%
Ranchi: 2 more lives have been lost to coronavirus on Friday in Jharkhand. With this, the total death toll due to coronavirus pandemic in the state has now reached 939.
According to official data, on Friday, 185 new cases of coronavirus infection were detected in the state. On the other hand, 189 patients were cured and discharged too. 2 deaths were reported.
As per official data released by the health department, a total of 38,81,733 samples have been tested in the state till Friday. Out of these, 1,07,157 samples have tested positive. However, 1,03,624 patients have already been cured and discharged from different hospitals of the state as well as home quarantine.
For now, the state has only 2,594 active cases of coronavirus infection.
939 deaths are a concern, however, lately the number of daily deaths have come down drastically. Earlier it used to be around 7 to 10, while now it hovers around 1 to 3.
East Singhbhum district remains the most affected district of the state. The mortality rate in East Singhbhum is 2.2%, while for the entire Jharkhand state it is only o.87%.
The recovery rate in the state has now reached 96.70%, while the mortality rate is at 0.87%.
