Former CM congratulates people on Jharkhand Foundation Day
Jamshedpur: The national vice-president of BJP and the former Chief Minister of Jharkhand, Raghubar Das on Sunday paid obeisance to Dharati Aba Bhagwan Birsa Munda on his birth anniversary. He paid floral tributes to Bhagwan Birsa Munda at his residence in Agrico.
On this occasion, he said that Bhagwan Birsa Munda would remain a source of inspiration for everyone of us for centuries, because his life is an example of struggle and fight against injustice and oppression.
He said that Birsa Munda was a protector of Indian culture and he openly opposed and fought the forces inimical to native culture.

He said that he had sensed the conspiracy of the the outside forces who were out to destroy the native culture and religion. He said that Bhagwan Birsa Munda resisted the attempts and this shook the foundations of the British government.
He also congratulated the people of Jharkhand not the 20th foundation day of Jharkhand. He said that we should all bow to the memories of former Prime Minister of Atal Bihari Vajpayee who was instrumental in formation of Jharkhand.
He said that it is a day when we should pay respects to those who had laid down their lives for the formation of a separate Jharkhand state.
Later, Raghubar Das also performed Gobardhan Puja and worshipped and served a cow.
Those who were present on the occasion included the former Mahanagar BJP president Dinesh Kumar, Rambabu Tiwary, Kulwant Singh Bunty, Sanjeev Singh, Bhupendra Singh, Amarjit Singh, Raja, Satweer Singh Somu, Sumit Sharma, Shivji Prasad and others.
