Jamshedpur: Jamshedpur Mahanagar BJP celebrated the 146th birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda on Sunday with respect and simplicity.
A group of BJP workers led by Jamshedpur Mahanagar president Gunjan Yadav garlanded the life-size statue of Birsa Munda at Birsanagar Sunday Market.
Speaking on the occasion, Gunjan Yadav said that Birsa Munda was a symbol of resistance and intrepidity of Jharkhand. He said that within a short life-span of 25 years, he lighted the flame of love for swadeshi and indigenous Indian culture among the tribal youths and that is the reason, he would always remain a source of inspiration for all of us.
He also remembered the contribution of late former Prime Minister of India Atal Bihari Vajpayee in formation of a separate Jharkhand state and congratulated the people of Jharkhand on the 20th foundation day of the state.
