Kunal Sarangi meets TWU leaders, shares information about new labour laws

Jamshedpur: A delegation of Jharkhand BJP led by the spokesman of Jharkhand BJP Kunal Sarangi on Monday reached Tata Workers’ Union office and held a meeting with the TWU leadership and shared information with it about the new changes in the labour laws.

Later, Kunal Sarangi said that he met the TWU leadership for sharing information about the new changes in the labour laws and to assure them that all the changes have been made to protect the interests of the workers.

He said that the initiative has been taken on the instructions of the BJP leadership and information is being shared with all the labour unions and organisations. He said that under the instructions of the central leadership of the party, a beginning was made by sharing information with the Tata Workers’ Union leaders.

He said that the new labour laws have several provisions which would benefit the common workers. However, due to lack of right information, the workers are being misled about the repercussions of the new changes.

He lauded the new labour laws and said that these would benefit the workers in many ways.

It may be mentioned here that the labour is on concurrent list and there were a plethora of labour laws existing in the country. However, the union government has passed four labour codes in the Parliament subsuming all these different labour codes. Now, the country has only four labour laws.

However, these labour laws have sparked off apprehensions among the workers as to whether these would protect their interest or not.
