Coronavirus claims 2 more lives on Wednesday in Jamshedpur, total death toll now 356

48 new cases, 62 cured, recovery rate 91%, mortality 2.2%

Jamshedpur: After a lull for about a week with zero deaths per day, Covid-19 pandemic is again showing signs of resurgence. Coronavirus has again taken 2 lives in Jamshedpur on Wednesday. With this the total number of deaths in East Singhbhum has now gone up to 356.

On Wednesday, 48 new coronavirus infection cases were also detected the district, taking the total number of infections to 16,024 in the district.

According to the official data, a total of 3,07,424 samples have been tested in East Singhbhum district. Out of these, 16,024 samples have tested positive, while 2,91,400 samples have tested negative.

On the other hand, 62 patients were also cured and discharged from different hospitals of the city. The total number of cured and discharged patients in East Singhbhum has now gone up to 14,476.

Till Wednesday, East Singhbhum has 1,192 positive cases of coronavirus infection.

The recovery rate for East Singhbhum has gone up to 91%. The mortality rate for the district is 2.2%, while the total positivity rate is 5.2%.
