Corona relents, no death on Thursday in Jamshedpur

Total deaths 356, 26 new cases, 49 cured, recovery rate 90%, mortality rate 2.2%, positivity rate 5.2%

Jamshedpur: Coronavirus has again relented on Thursday as it caused no death in Jamshedpur. The total death tally till Thursday late evening stood at 356. Some sigh of relief to those who were afraid that the virus may show renewed resurgence in the city.

According to official data, on Thursday 26 new coronavirus positive cases were detected in the district, taking the total number of infections to 16,082 in East Singhbhum till Thursday. On the other hand, 49 persons were also cured and discharged from different hospitals, taking the total number of recovered patient to 14,525 in East Singhbhum.

No death was caused by the virus in the district on Thursday and the death toll remained at 356.

For now, the total number of active coronavirus infection cases in the district is 1,201.

Till Thursday, a total of 3,10,988 samples were tested in the district. Out of these 16,082 samples have tested positive, while 2,04,906 samples have tested negative.

Till Thursday, the recovery rate is 90%, while the mortality rate is at 2.2%. On the other hand, the positivity rate for the district is 5.2%.
