Corona graph is flattening in city, no death on 5th consecutive day

Total deaths stable at 352, recovery rate 90%, mortality rate 2.2%, positivity rate 5.4%

Jamshedpur: Good news for the citizens of Jamshedpur. There has been zero death on the 5th consecutive day in the city and East Singhbhum district due to coronavirus.

And it means only one thing – the Corona curve is definitely flattening now. No death for five consecutive days cannot be a statistical coincidence. It certainly is a significant development.

According to official data of East Singhbhum district, there has been 0 deaths on Sunday and the death toll for the district due to coronavirus still stands at 352.

However, 22 new positive cases of corona infection were detected on Sunday. Keeping the trend over the last month or so, even this number can be a quite low.

The East Singhbhum district has tested 2,95,180 samples till Sunday. Out of these, 15,860 samples have tested positive, while 2,79,320 samples have tested negative.

On Sunday, 22 new cases were found, taking the total number of infections nf the district to 15,860.

On the same day, 29 patients of corona were also cured and discharged from different hospitals and home quarantine. The total number of cured persons has risen to 14,314 now.

The district, for now, has 1,194 active cases of corona infection.

The recovery rate remains at 90%, while the mortality rate too is stable at 2.2%. On the other hand, the positivity rate is 5.4%, slightly higher than the desired level of 5% or below.
