Corona Thursday in Jamshedpur: no death, 61 new cases

Total deaths remain at 352, recovery rate 91%, mortality rate 2.2%

Jamshedpur: There has been no coronavirus caused death in Jamshedpur and East Singhbhum district on Thursday. On Wednesday no deaths were reported and Thursday is consecutive second day when no fatalities were caused by the virus.

With zero deaths, the total death tally stands at 352 as on Thursday. 61 new positive cases have been detected in the district while 44 persons were also cured and discharged on Thursday.

According to official data, East Singhbhum district has tested 2,84,495 samples. Out of these 2,68,749 samples tested negative, while 15,746 samples have tested positive. Number of negative samples is 2,68,749.

With 61 new cases on Thursday, the total number of infections in the district has reached 15,746. 44 pattens were also discharged, taking the total number of discharged patients to 14,207.

Death tally for the district stays at 352. For now, the number of active cases in the district stands at 1,187.

The recovery rate for the district has risen to 91% now, while the mortality rate remains 2.2%. Similarly, total positivity rate for the district is 5.5%
