Coronavirus in Jamshedpur on Tuesday: 1 death, 43 new cases, 31 cured

Jamshedpur: Coronavirus took a slight dip on Tuesday as it claimed 1 life in Jamshedpur. With this one death, the total number of people who have died due to this virus has now reached 352 in East Singhbhum district.

According to official data, on Tuesday, 43 new cases of coronavirus infection were also detected in the district, taking the total number of infections for the district to 15,658.

As per official data, till Tuesday night, a total of 2,78,082 samples have been tested in East Singhbhum district. Out of these, 15,658 samples have tested positive, while a total of 2,62,424 samples have tested negative.

On Tuesday itself 31 patients were also cured and discharged from hospitals and home quarantine. With this, the total number of recovered patients in the district has reached 14,133.

For now, the district has a total of 1,173 active cases of coronavirus infection.

The recovery rate for the district has reached 91%, while the mortality rate is on a slightly higher side at 2.2%. Till Tuesday, the positivity rate for the district is 5.6%.
