Coronavirus in Jharkhand on Monday: 9 deaths, 220 new cases, 92 cured

Total death toll now 872, total infections 94 short of 1 lakh

Jamshedpur: In a see-saw battle with coronavirus pandemic, Jharkhand once again had to bear with 9 deaths on Monday. With these 9 deaths, the total death toll for the state has now reached 872.

According to official data, 220 new coronavirus positive cases were also detected in the different districts of the state. On the other hand, 92 patients were also cured and discharged from different hospitals and home quarantine in the state.

As per official data released by the health department, a total of 31,26,794 samples have been tested in the state till Monday night. Out of these, 99,906 samples have tested positive.

However, out of the total positive cases, 93,368 have already been cured and discharged.

For now, the state has only 5,666 active cases. 872 patients have died of corona virus.

East Singhbhum district remains the worst-hit district of the state, both in terms of total deaths as well as total infections.
