Woman’s dead body found in Subarnrekha river under Mango Bridge

Deceased yet to be identified, investigations on

Jamshedpur: A woman’s dead body was found in the river waters midstream under Mango bridge under the jurisdiction of Sitaramdera police station in Jamshedpur Sunday morning. The age of the deceaseed woman is estimated to be around 25 years. The incident caused quite a sensation in the area as the locals crowded the site.

The police have arrived at the site, taken the dead body under their possession and have started investigations.

According to information received, the dead body of the woman was spotted Sunday early morning. The locals crowded the place as the information spread like a wild fire. The locals informed the Sitaramdera police promptly.

The police soon arrived at the place, got the dead body taken out from the waters and then took the dead body under their possession, did inquest and sent the body for post mortem. The deceased woman could not be identified till the time of filing the report.

The woman has Mehandi on her hands, has ‘Raja Rani’ written on hands and has new bangles. Police feel that the woman might have been newly married as she was wearing red clothes too.

The police said that the inquest has been done. However, the deceased has not been identified yet. Police are looking into all possible angles of the case, including suicide and homicide.
