Corona claims 8 lives in Jharkhand on Saturday, total death toll 832

Ranchi: After a brief lull in fury, coronavirus has once again started raising its ferocity in the state as it claimed no less than 8 livesin the state on Saturday.

According to official data, on Saturday 8 persons succumbed to the virus taking the total death toll in the state to 832.

As per official data, till Saturday, the state has tested a total of 28,27,248 samples. Out of these, 94,967 samples have tested positive.

The number of active cases of coronavirus infection in the state is 6,576. The state has already cured and discharged a total of 88,559 patients in the district hospitals as well as home quarantine.

In all, 832 persons have succumbed to the virus.

On Saturday itself, 542 new cases were detected in the state. Meanwhile, 501 patients were also discharged and cured. 8 people have succumbed to the disease and that remains a big setback for the state.

East Singhbhum has been the most affected district of the state both in terms of total casualty as well as total infections. On Saturday, 4 persons succumbed to Corona in East Singhbhum district alone and that half of the total casualty in the state.
