Jamshedpur: As expected, Coronavirus seems to be on a declining trend in Jamshedpur now. After no death on Saturday, coronavirus did take 1 life in the city on Sunday. However, this remains at a lower level as compared to data from earlier weeks.
With the one death on Sunday, the number of total fatalities in East Singhbhum due to Covid-19 has now reached 334.
According to official data, 45 new coronavirus positive cases were detected on Sunday. With this the total number of infections in the district has gone up to 14,881. However, the total number of active cases in the district is only 1,446 as 13,101 patients have been cured and discharged.
On Sunday too 112 patients were cured and discharged taking the total number of recovered cases in the district to 13,101.
As per official data, East Singhbhum district has tested a total of 2,20,636 samples. Out of these, 14,881 samples have tested positive, while 2,05,755 samples have tested negative.
Even at the national level, coronavirus seems to be relenting a little as for the 8th consecutive days the number of deaths recorded in the country remained below 1,000.
