Seraikela: Kolhan DIG Rajeev Ranjan Singh attended a workshop on ‘Criminal Law and Investigations’ on Saturday organised by Seraikela-Kharsawan district police at Auto Cluster Auditorium. The seminar was organised for trainee sub-inspectors of 2018 batch.
Kolhan DIG also learnt about the activities and participation of the trainee police officers of 2018 batch in this seminar.
Sharing his knowledge and experience with the trainees, the DIG suggested several areas of improvement.
He said that in the days to come the trainees would have to handle the responsibility of a police station, therefore they should prepare themselves in all respects, so that they can discharge their role with efficiency.

He also stressed the need to make the police department technically strong and said that trainees must have technical hands-on training.
The seminar discussed the methods and ways to prepare police officers for the challenges of future. The trainees were also told about the different challenges in investigations and different aspects of law. A government lawyer Jai Prakash told them about legal aspects of investigations.
All the trainee SIs described the seminar as quite useful and said that this gave them opportunity to learn about the rules and laws.
A seminar was also held in Jamshedpur recently and that too was quite successful in meeting the goal of apprising the trainees with different aspects of law.
