Jamshedpur Femina distributes food material among children, cleans drains in Service Week

Jamshedpur: Jamshedpur Femina of Lions Club conducted a “Malnutrition- a disease” awareness drive in Beldih Bustee among children of 2-8 age group. In all 43 children participated in the programme.

The Club members also distributed fruits, Horlicks, biscuits and eggs among children. They also told the children about Covid-19 and advised them to keep washing their hands and wear masks. Masks were also distributed among children.

Those who took part in the programme included the president of the Club Sarika Singh, secretary Suchitra Rungta, PRO Abha Rungta and teacher Kavita Hansda, Beena Hansda and Anganbadi worker Sita Sunday.

It was a part of the Lion Service Week programme. In the last event of this programme, Jamshedpur Femina conducted a “Swachh Bharat Campaign’ in Beldih Bustee.

On October 6, Femina sprayed bleaching powder in different areas. With the help of Jusco, drains were also cleaned and the entire area was also cleaned.

These initiatives were carried out under the leadership of Femina president Sarika Singh and secretary Suchitra Rungta. PRO Abha Rungta was also present on the occasion. Femina has thanked Jusco Public and Health Department for help in cleaning the area.
