Jamshedpur: Corona has relented for a day as Jamshedpur city reported no deaths due to the virus on Thursday. However, one patient from Ghatshila did die due to virusin TMH during treatment.. On the other hand, 223 new corona positive patients have been detected in the district on Thursday.
According to the official data, corona seems to be ebbing albeit with a very slow pace. On Thursday, the city hospitals reported not a single death due to the virus. There has been a no-death day for the city after a long time, more than 11 weeks. Total deaths in the city have already reached 333 till Thursday.
ON Thursday, only one woman from Ghatshila, aged 77, succumbed ot the virus in TMH.
On Thursday itself, a total of 2,722 samples were tested in the district and out of these 223 did test positive. This takes the total number of corona patients in the city to 14,666.
On the other hand, 113 patients on Thursday were cured and discharged too. The recovery rate for the district has now reached around 88 pc and till date 12,731 patients have been cured and discharged.
The recovery rate for the city and the district is better than that of the nation and the state.
