NIT Jamshedpur pays homage to Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shashtri

Jamshedpur: NIT Jamshedpur paid homage to Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shashtri on Friday, October 2, 2020 by organising a small official function and holding a short cultural programme.

The proceedings began with introduction of the day by anchors Sayeri and Mayank.

Lal Bahadur Shashtri had once said: “True democracy or the swaraj of the masses can never come through untruthful and violent means, for the simple reason that the natural corollary to their use would be to remove all opposition through the suppression or extermination of the antagonist.”

2nd October is a day of utmost importance, not only for the people of subcontinental region but for people all over the world. It is the birth anniversary of two Indian Stalwarts, the father of our nation Mahatma Gandhi and the pillar of modern Indian democracy Shri. Lal Bahadur Shastri. Both of them were faces of Indian Freedom Movement.
