Jamshedpur: Wednesday saw a surge in the number of deaths caused by coronavirus in Jharkhand. In all, 13 persons died of Covid-19 in different districts of the state on Wednesday. With this the total number of deaths in the state due to corona has now reached 713.
According to official data, the state has tested 22,50439 samples till Wednesday. Out of these, 83,651 samples have tested positive. For now the state has only 11,596 active cases of coronavirus infections, as 71,342 patients have been cured and discharged from hospitals in different districts of the state or have recovered at home.
Deaths are a big concern for the state as they have reached 713. The number of deaths had declined for some time, but now again Wednesday saw a spurt, as 13 people died.
On Wednesday itself, 1,108 new cases of coronavirus infection have been reported. On the other hand, 1,318 persons were also cured and discharged in the state.
