Jamshedpur: A condolence meeting was organised by Congress leaders and workers Saturday morning at the Banquet Hall of Misty-Inn Hotel in Bhalubasa to pay tributes to the former President of India late Pranab Mukherjee.
The condolence meeting was presided by senior Congress leader Manohar Singh.
The programme was chaired by the former secretary of Jharkhand State Congress Vijay Yadav.
Addressing the meeting, senior Congress leader Anand Bihari Dubey said that late Pranab Mukherjee started his career from a very modest family. After education he started out as a clerk and from that humble post he reached to the post of the President of India.
He said that his rise in career and life shows that if one has the will power, efficiency and dedication, then poverty cannot block one’s path.

He said that Pranab Mukherjee was respected even by opposition leaders.
He said that this is why RSS too invited him as the chief guest at one of its programs, although Pranab Mukherjee had always opposed the organization.
The programme was also addressed by senior Congress leaders Samanto Kumari, Kolhan spokesman Atul Gupta, Shailendra Singh, district spokesman of the party Laddu Pandey.
Those who were present included Sanjay Ghosh, Amit Pandey, Sushil Ghosh, Api Mandal, Dhiraj Kumar and many others.
