Former President Pranab Mukherjee is no more

Bengaluru: The former President of India Pranab Mukherjee passed away Monday at RR Hospital.

His son Abhijit Mukherjee announced this a short while ago.

His health condition was declining and he continued to be in deep coma and was also on ventilator support.

The Army Hospital (Research and Referral), Delhi Cantonment was treating him.

He was suffering from Corona related complications and struggled against the virus for over a month.

Pranab Mukherjee has lived a fulfilling life. He was the President of India from 2012 to 2017.

His political career was five decades long and he remained the senior most leader of Congress party for a long time.

He was also the Union Finance Minister from 2009 to 2012.

The Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the President of India Ram Nath Kovind have condoled his death.

The President of India called his demise ‘end of an era’.

Dr. Subramanian Swamy, BJP leader, also condoled his death and described him a very balanced and educated mind.

The Health Minister of Jharkhand and Congress leader Banna Gupta has also condoled his demise.
