Covid-19 takes 5 more lives in East Singhbhum on Thursday

163 more people test positive, total infections now 5902

Jamshedpur: Covid-19 has taken 5 more lives in East Singhbhum on Thursday. 4 persons have died in TMH and one in Tata Motors Hospital.

Those who died on Thursday include a 70-year-old woman from Adityapur too. The 4 other deceased were from Jamshedpur and they included a 54-year-old doctor who died in Tata Motors, a 60-year-old woman from Bagbera, a 61-year-old woman from Telco and a teacher who died in MGMCH.

Meanwhile, 163 new positive cases were detected in East Singhbhum on Thursday. The total number of positive cases in East Singhbhum has now reached 5902. Meanwhile, 57 patients were also cured. Till date 3565 persons have been cured and discharged.

According to the data issued by the district administration 177 patients have died of Corona in the district till Thursday, which takes the death rate to 3 per cent.

According to the administration data, the recovery rate in the district is 57.5 and till ate 3366 patients have been cured, while the number of active cases is 2357.
