Corona takes 5th life in West Singhbhum, Barajamda woman succumbs to Covid-19

Chaibasa: Corona has killed one woman in West Singhbhum district. This was the 5th death due to Covid-19 in West Singhbhum district.

The woman is from Barajamda and lived near Ratanlal Petrol Pump.

Sources said that on Sunday, her report in the rapid Covid test came positive and she was about to be sent to Tata Main Hospital in Jamshedpur.

The woman was 55 years of age.

However, she died before she could be sent to Jamshedpur for treatment.

Family members said that she was suffering from co-morbidities like hypertension, asthma, hyperglycaemia and hypertension.

She was being treated by a clinic in Barajamda. Later, when her condition deteriorated, she was taken to SAIL Hospital in Kiriburu.

Later, she was taken to Joda and even TMH in Jamshedpur, but she could not be admitted.

On Sunday, she was admitted in Noamundi Hospital for treatment.

The doctors there carried out a rapid test for Corona and found her positive.

Till date five deaths have been caused due to Corona in West Singhbhum. These include three women and two men.
