Jamshedpur: The Deputy Commissioner of East Singhbhum and the SSP today inspected Uma Super Specialty Hospital at NH-33 and made an assessment of the 50-bed Covid Hospital being made there.
The number of Covid patients in the city is on the rise constantly and the district administration has been looking for options to expand the health facilities and infrastructure.
The district administration is trying to arrange facilities for building Covid wards in several small and big private hospitals in the city.
The DC and the SSP jointly inspected Uma Hospital at NH-33.
Later, the DC said that the administration is trying to have all sort of facilities and covid wards are being arranged even in the private hospitals.
He said that the people should remain on guard and continue taking safety measures because infrastructure is limited and the infection cases are on the rise.
He said that if precautions are not taken, then situation may turn very grim in the days to come.
