Ranchi: The Chief Minister of Jharkhand Hemant Soren today offered rich tributes to martyred leader Nirmal Mahato on his 33rd death anniversary. He offered flowers to his picture and paid his deep respects to the leader who had played an important role in the Jharkhand statehood movement.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Hemant Soren said that late Nirmal Mahato had played a leading role in the Jharkhand statehood movement and through his able leadership he had intensified the movement and associated all sections of the state with the movement.
He said that he was such a popular leader that through his struggles he took the movement to a new height and that movement resulted into a separate Jharkhand state.
He said that till the day Jharkhand remains in existence, he would be remembered as a great leader. His ideals will keep inspiring every person in the state.
He said that we can build a happy and rich Jharkhand only by following his ideals.
Those who paid their respects to the late leader on this occasion included the press advisor to the Chief Minister, Mr. Abhishek Prasad, the private secretary to the Chief Minister Mr. Sunil Srivastava and others.
