Jamsehdpur: Tata Steel has issued new Corona-related guidelines for its employees. The guidelines lay down new rules for availing personal leave and quarantine. Any employee who takes part in a major private function would have to spend 14 days in quarantine. However, this period can be changed into personal leave too. Sick leave too can be availed for the purpose.
New guidelines say that employees can avail of their personal leave during quarantine. If any employees goes out of station due to personal work, then he can take personal leave for the period of visit as well as home quarantine.
According to new rules, employees would have to take personal leave for the period of quarantine.
If an employee joins duty after 15 days and again attends any major gathering, then he would have to go on 14 days’ home quarantine again.
Permission to join duty would be given only after the period of 14 days on home quarantine.
Even if an employee has not gone out of station, but attends a private function or gathering, then he would have to spend 14 days in quarantine. Besides, he would also have to take a fitness certificate fro a Medical Officer of Tata Steel or concerned doctor.
If any employee is in quarantine and is cured, then he can change his personal leave into sick leave too.
