149 more positive cases, total infection cases in city now 2237
Jamshedpur: Corona has started showing its fury in the steel city. It has taken 7 lives in city on Monday taking the total death toll due to Covid-19 to 51.
Corona killed 7 more persons in the city on Monday. Two persons died late evening taking the day’s total to 7 and the city total to 51.
One 62-year-old person from Telco Barinagar died Monday evening. However, he is a resident of Chaibasa and had relatives in Telco. He was confirmed as a positive cases after he died.
Similarly, a 74-year-old resident of Sakchi also died late Monday evening.
Thus Corona has killed in 61 patients till date, out of which 51 were from East Singhbhum, and others were from outside the district.
The other deceased include a woman from Mango, a woman from Kadma, a man from Jugsalai, one man from Sakchi and another man from Kadma.
According to information received, a 76-year-old resident of Bhatia Basti, Kadma died of complications on Monday. He was admitted with fever and pneumonia.
Similarly, a 65-year-old woman of Shashtrinagar also died of Corona in TMH. She was suffering from breathing difficulties and fever and was admitted on July 31.
Similarly, a 47-year-old man from Jugsalai too had high fever and breathing difficulty. He was admitted on July 26 in TMH, where he died due to complications on Monday.
One 86-year-old person from Sakchi was also admitted on July 26. He also had pneumonia with dengue. He died of Corona complications on Monday.
A 77-year-old woman of Mango also died of Corona on Monday. She was diabetic.
Thus Corona has killed five more persons on Monday taking the total death tally for the city to 47.
Meanwhile, 149 more people have tested positive in the city taking the total infections in the city to 2237.
On Monday 22 patients were cured and discharged. Thus, 777 patients have been cured in the district in all and the district has now 1412 active cases.
24 jawans of Golmuri police line have also tested positive and they have been kept at Utkal Association, Sakchi Quarantine Centre.
22 employees of Tata Steel guest house too have tested positive.
