Health Minister satisfied with facilities, seeks report on improvement

Jamshedpur: The Health Minister of Jharkhand Banna Gupta made a surprise inspection of Sadar Hospital in Khas Mahal, Jamshedpur on Friday.

During his inspection visit, the Health Minister did not take any government guard, nor did he inform anyone beforehand.

Only a few people were accompanying him.

The Health Minister inspected all the departments of the hospital and even saw the lavatory and canteen.

Not only this, the Health Minister also ate the meal prepared in the hospital and sought information and feedback from the patients being admitted and treated at the hospital.

The surprise visit of the state Health Minister created quite a flutter in the hospital.

The Health Minister, however, looked satisfied with the facilities and arrangements available in Sadar Hospital.

He did say that canteen and other departments will have to be improved further.

The Health Minister instructed the Civil Surgeon to prepare a detailed report about how to improve the existing infrastructure more in the hospital.

Later, replying to a query, the Health Minister said that keeping the threat from the corona infections, 162 TrueNat corona test machines have been provided to different health centres in the state.

He said that more such machines would be made available.

He also said that BSL Labs would also be launched in Dumka and Deoghar after Palamu.
