Unknown assailants murder building material supplier in Mahanand Basti, Jemco

Telco area in grips of crime, criminals having a field day in basti areas

Jamshedpur: Unknown criminals shot a youth Moni Das, 33, dead in Mahanand Basti in Jemco area under the jurisdiction of Telco police station and managed to escape. The youth was sitting at his hardware shop in Mahanand Buasti when two bike-borne assailants arrived there and fired at him.

According to police sources, the two assailants entered his shop and shot him in chest and then managed to escape. Both the assailants fired at him. Four bullet wounds have been found on the deceased’s body.

After the firing incident, the locals rushed Moni Das to hospital, but he was declared dead by the doctors.

No one has been arrested yet in this connection.

The family of the deceased have no idea who might have killed Moni Das. Police are still looking into all possible angles.

Sources said that Moni Das was also into the business of supplying sand, chips and other construction materials.

Telco area has been in the grips of crime for quite some time.
