Jamshedpur: The district administration of East Singhbhum has started taking action against the shops and establishments flouting the social distancing norms in the city.
Inspection of different areas in the city were carried out and those flouting the social distancing norms were issued notices.
In Mango, the Executive Officer of Mango Notified Area Committee Ravindra Gagrai issued notices to six shopkeepers for flouting Covid-19 safety norms.
In Azad Nagar Road No. 15, the footpaths on both sides were crowded. The road side vendors were sent away to some other place.
Meanwhile, the Special Officer ofJNAC, Krishna Kumar, has issued notices to 23 shops.
The Executive officer of Jugsalai Jagdish Yadav has issued notices to five shops.
The Executive officer cum incident commander Savita Topno has issued notices to three shops in Bistupur for not wearing masks and allowing a crowd to gather.
The incident commander Chandradeo Prasad issued notices to a hote in Kadma, a wine shop in Sonari and a cyber cafe.
Similarly, notices have also been issued to Madina Cloth Store in Old Purula Road, Azadnagar and Madina Cloth Store and Patna Bakery and they have been asked to submit clarification within 72 hours.
The strict action from the administration has sent a wave of concern through the trader community.
Although the traders have made it clear that they are all for abiding by the instructions of the instructions, they are against any kind of penal provisions and harassment in the name of Covid-19 safety.
