Jamshedpur: While majority of the people are scared to go out of their houses fearing Corona virus infection, thieves are unmindful of any such threat and they are even targeting the sealed and corona infected houses in containment zones.
Some ingenious unknown thieves broke into the house of one Corona patient in Kochakoli in Parsudih, Jamshedpur and stole away Rs. 50,000 in cash along with one gold ring and a pair of silver amulets.
Sources said that the owner of the house was found Covid-19 positive and the administration had sealed the house.
The thieves broke the back doors and entered the house and then decamped with cash and valuables.
The owner of the house said that he was admitted into TMH on July 8 after being found Covid positive. He is still under treatment in the hospital. His wife and children have gone to their native place. He sent his brother to see the house and he found today morning that the house was burgled and everything was scattered on teh ground.
The police are investigating the case.
The house owner said that he got infected with the virus during work. The locals say that the police should have posted at least a constable at the place after having sealed the house.
