Jamshedpur: The Seraikela Block-cum-Circle Office premises have been sealed and declared as a containment zone after a relative of an employee living on the premises tested positive. This is causing a lot of problems to the people who need to visit the office for official work as most official work has come to a standstill.
The father-in-law of the one of the employee living on the premises has tested positive for Covid-19
He was admitted in TMH for treatment of other ailments. However, during swab test he was found positive. This caused a concern and all the officers and employees of the office were also tested. All of them, however, have tested negative.
As a precautionary measure, the office premises have been sealed and the office has been declared as a containment zone. All the employees and officers have also gone on home quarantine. Offline work has been discontinued and most of the essential work is being done online.
The sealing of the office has also affected the work under MNREGA. This may also create problems for the workers employed under different schemes.
