Jamshedpur: Burdened by financial difficulties caused by the lockdown and the subsequent loss of business, one 46-year-old Sanjiv Sahu hanged himself to death at Jagdishpur Road in Bagbera Police Station area.
According to police, the deceased used to buy and sell scrap papers and cartons. Owing to lockdowns his business had come down to a standstill. He had been facing extreme stress owing to his financial difficulties, the police said.
According to the police, when alone in house, he hanged himself to death. His family members found himself hanging and informed the police about it.
Bagbera police have sent the body for post mortem.
Bagbera police officer Ashok Kumar said that the deceased had killed himself due to stress caused by financial problems.
