Corona kills five in Jharkhand on Sunday, State death tally now 30

Ranchi: Corona has started showing its real and ferocious face in Jharkhand now. Five persons succumbed to Corona infection in the state on Sunday.

While one person has died in TMH at Jamshedpur, four others have died in different parts of the state. Among them, one patient was from Godda, one from Hazaribagh, while two patients have died in RIMS.

With five deaths on a single day, the total number of deaths caused by the disease in the state has now reached 30.

According to information reaching the health department, one person has died in Mahagama block area of Godda district. The deceased was a panchayat secretary. He was brought to Mahagama Hospital after his report was positive for Covid.

After his condition worsened, he was referred to Godda, where he succumbed to complications. Mahagama Hospital has been sealed now.

On the other hand, third death was also reported from TMH, Jamshedpur.

The patient was suffering from cancer. He was treated outside the state, but had returned to the city and was admitted in TMH ten days back. He was a resident of Sonari. His report was positive for Covid-19. He died due to complications.

On the other hand, one person died of Covid in Katakmsandi block. He was admitted in the Covid-19 ward of RIMS. He was on life support.

Two other patients have also reportedly died of Covid-19 related complications in RIMS.
