Increase in Covid-19 cases spurs admn to promulgate new order, Adityapur and Gamharia markets feel impact
Jamshedpur: Shoe and garment shops have been asked to shut down in Seraikela district in view of sharp rise in the number of Covid-19 cases in the district during the last few days.
Seraikela district administration has once again gone into action mode as far as restrictions for prevention of spread of Covid-19 is concerned.
Seeing the spurt in the number of cases in Seraikela district as well as in adjoining districts, the administration has started action against those who are violating the social distancing norms.
The administration has also issued orders to close down all shoes and garment shops in Gamharia and Adityapur markets.
The BDO Thakur Gauri Shankar Sharma said that although the state government had allowed re-opening of shoe and garment shops from June 18, owing to the increase in the number of Covid-19 positive persons in the area, an order has been issued to shut all shoe and garment shops.
The impact of the latest order was seen in Gamharia and Adityapur markets since morning on Saturday.
The administration has taken a decision to shut down the garment and shoe shops keeping in view the sharp rise in the number of new Corona cases.
