New Delhi: The death toll due to Covid-19 in India has crossed 17400 on Wednesday.
The mortality rate due to Covid is 2.97% which is still one of the lowest in the world and better than the rate in many other countries.
The recovery rate too is 59.43, which is pretty good compared to other countries.
The total number of confirmed cases in the country has crossed 5,85,493, out of which 2,20,114 are still active, while 3,47,979 have either cured or discharged or migrated.
Meanwhile, in Mumbai, with an aim to reduce the mortality due to Covid-19, the BMC has launched a nine-point programme called “Save Lives”.
This programme will include more detailed monitoring and supervision of critical patients, including video surveillance by the head of the unit and the hospital.
