Ranchi: A 24 year-old Corona-infected woman died at RIMS on Monday, taking the death toll due to COVID-19 in the state to 14. She was a native of Bagodar suffering from heart ailment, sources said.
As many as 10 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Jharkhand on Monday. Out of these, eight were reported in Ranchi while the remaining two were reported in Garhwa, sources said.
Sources said two patients admitted to Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) have been diagnosed as COVID-19 positive. Six others in the state capital were also found infected by the Corona virus.
On Sunday, 22 persons had tested positive in Jharkhand. New cases in Jharkhand are on the rise, even while the rate of being cured and discharged is also going up.
