Ranchi: 22 more persons tested positive in Jharkhand on Sunday. With this the total number of infected persons in the state has reached 2364. However, more than 1800 persons have also been cured and discharged in different parts of the state.
For now, the state has 559 active cases, while 12 persons have succumbed to Covid-19 infection.
Out of the 22 new positive cases found on Sunday in the state, four are from Garhwa, four from Giridih, four from East Singhbhum, two from Hazaribagh, 2 from Kodarma, two from Lohardaga, one from Ranchi, two from Seraikela, one from Bokaro and one from West Singhbhum.
This takes the number of infected persons in the state to 2364.
The number of cured persons is also increasing every day. On Sunday, 69 persons were cured and released from hospitals. Out of these, 31 are from Simdega, 15 from Giridih, nine from East Singhbhum, seven from Godda, five from Ramgarh, one from Chatra and one from Ranchi.
