Ranchi: 44 new Corona positive cases have been found in Jharkhand and with this the total number of infection in the state has reached 2,263.
On the other hand, 30 persons have also been cured and discharged from different hospitals of the state. In the state, 12 persons have died of Corona infections, while there are still 644 active cases.
On Thursday, eight persons were found positive, eight in East Singhbhum too, 5 in Gumla, five in Kodarma, four in Deoghar, three in Khunti, two in Ranchi and Simdega each, and one each from Bokaro and Palamu.
On the other hand, 30 persons have been cured. According to data received by the state health department, 16 have been cured in East Singhbhum, 11 in Garhwa, one in Ranchi and one each in Seraikela and Simdega. Thus 1,605 have been cured in the state, while the number of active cases is less than half of that, i.e. 644.
It may be recalled that the recovery rate is higher than the national average in Jharkhand, while the death rate too is less than the national average.
