Ranchi: 53 new persons tested positive for Covid-19 in Jharkhand on Tuesday. With this the total number of infected persons in the state has reached 2193 and is expected to cross 2200 by tomorrow.
On the other hand, 51 persons have also been declared cured and they have been discharged from hospitals during the last 24 hours.
With this, the number of cured persons in the state has reached 1520. The state has 662 active cases till now, while 11 persons have also succumbed to Corona related complications.
Among the 53 persons who were found positive on Tuesday, 24 are from Simdega, five from East Singhbhum, four from Gumla, three each from Palamu and Ramgarh, two each from Dhanbad, Giridih and Lohardagga, while one is from Sahibganj district.
As far as active cases are concerned, the state has a total of 662 active cases. Out of these Simdega has 140 active cases, East Singhbhum has 115, Kodarma has 56, Ranchi 55, Hazaribagh 47, Gumla 37, Ramgarh 32, West Singhbhum 31, Deoghar 22, Giridih 21, Lohardagga 15, Dhanbad 13, Chatra 13, Garhwa 11, Jamtara 8, Latehar 8 , Seraikela 8, Bokaro 7, Godda 7, Palamu 4 and Sahibganj 2 active cases.
