Jamshedpur: East Singhbhum district administration is going all-out to curb the Corona menace effectively.
Acknowledging the crucial role played by volunteers, Deputy Commissioner Ravi Shankar Shukla Tuesday convened a meeting with volunteers assisting digital data entry and surveillance teams at Jamshedpur Collectorate auditorium.
He issued instructions for providing masks and sanitizers to the volunteers. He lauded the efforts put in by volunteers in helping Integrated Data Capturing and Reporting System and Surveillance teams. He said just like doctors, volunteers too, had a pivotal role to play in the fight against COVID-19.
Shukla said collecting information about people entering the district from other states is of great importance in the current situation. He assured to provide a conducive work environment to all volunteers. He said the administration would provide letters of appreciation to the volunteers.
Meanwhile, Professor Giridhar Ramchandran of XLRI Xavier School of Management shared knowledge about data entry format with the volunteers today.
East Singhbhum administration is digitizing information about people coming to Jamshedpur from other states with the view to ensure effective control measures against the Corona pandemic.
Quick access to data would help the administration track Corona suspects and patients effectively.
On the administrationś call for help, 14 volunteers have come forth in urban Jamshedpur while five volunteers have come forward in the rural areas, sources said.
Todayś meeting was also attended by the Special Officers of all three civic bodies of Jamshedpur.
